Context

A public commerce platform for the agricultural sector, combining CMS content, product information, spare parts, machine configuration and e-commerce. Built on Sitecore XP, Norce Commerce, Microsoft services and Azure.

Problem

Performance, search experience and checkout reliability needed to improve across several high-visibility, business-critical journeys.

Constraints

  • Several systems (Sitecore, Norce Commerce, pricing and order handling) had to stay consistent with each other.
  • The changes landed on live, business-critical flows.

Approach

I redesigned how search results were handled across products, spare parts and articles, replacing slow, fragmented behaviour with a more efficient flow cached on the server.

Machine configuration

I built and improved the logic for configuring agricultural machines on the product page, combining data from Sitecore, Norce Commerce and pricing all the way through to checkout.

Checkout reliability

I investigated and resolved critical order failures caused by synchronisation gaps between Sitecore, Norce Commerce and backend order handling.

Codebase quality

I improved components and styling on the product, profile and checkout pages, and helped refactor the code toward repositories, services and reusable components.

Outcome

A faster search experience, a significantly more reliable checkout, and a more maintainable codebase. The client team appreciated the clear communication, reliable delivery and ownership of complex issues across the full stack.
